The photo above was taken on July 18th and look at what happened to it just FOUR DAYS LATER! LOL

Now I know what you’re thinkin…”uh?? I don’t really see it being much bigger in four days woman!” And the only way you can see the ginormous cucumber growth is by looking at the black weeper hose in the photos. Do you see it? Its just a black line behind the cucumber. Well, look at the placement of where that hose is relative to the cucumber. Now do you see how big it got in just four days? We harvested the smaller one which was about 9 inches long, and it was still not ripe enough. I’m just wondering when I should pick it, or if I should let it grow just for shits and giggles! In another four days I’m estimating the length to be around two feet long.

The lettuces are doing very well under the trees. The one thing I have had no luck with however, is Nasturtium. I don’t know why, but I’ve planted it many many times and the outcome is always the same…NOTHING! LOL A few sprouts of it popped up finally in the cucumber patch, but they are so frail looking, I don’t think they are going to make it either. I must have planted at least 200 nasturtium seeds, and all I have to show for it are two little teeny tiny sprouts! GRR!
