Over this last week I took a little mini vacation from blogging.
I try to take a week here and there where I don’t have to write, but instead just goof off, do lots of research online, make plans, and come up with action plans for goals we hope to accomplish for the month.

A mini vacation for me isn’t about leaving my home. It’s simply about stepping back from my regular responsibilities for a little while, and do the bare minimum. šŸ˜‰

Besides, I’ve never liked get away vacations. It’s never made sense to me to save hard earned money all year to blow in a location that takes more work getting to, more aggravation than I’d care to put up with, all so we can look like we’re having fun? No thanks. My ideal vacation is to hang out at home, enjoy my family, and have others pick up the slack for a while. I don’t have anything going on in my life that would make me want to wish for something different. I don’t need to run off to an island, go on a cruise, and I don’t need to re-live old memories from when I was a child by going back to old vacationing spots.

I would love for us to take Simone to Disney World some day, and I think she would really enjoy it, but I wouldn’t want to make a yearly trip, spending thousands of dollars so she can get excited and go on rides. But hey, that’s just how I am. Not everyone is like me.

Anyway, this past week has been fun. I’ll let everyone know what I’ve been up to and what we’ve been planning on February 24th. Why? Because even though I’ve ended my vacation today, I’m still enjoying the research high I’ve been on, and I’m extending my mini vacation until Sunday.
